Customers are provided with entry details once they place an accepted order with ElectricityTexas. For a chance to win, entrants must create the most inspired and interesting 100 to 300 word story about how they conserve energy in Texas.
Essays will be evaluated by qualified judges and the best essay wins "Free Electricity for Life." This Grand Prize has an approximate retail value of $54,000.00 and will be awarded in the form of an annuity in the amount of $1,800 per year for the life of the winner up to a maximum of 30 years. A lump sum cash payout is also available.
Contest is open only to residents in Texas' deregulated electricity market. Electricity orders must be accepted by the service provider to qualify for contest entry. Limit one entry per person and household. See Official Rules for more information.
